Walk through the Schotsman reserve

After the closure of the last dam, the large salt marsh area was transformed into a beautiful nature reserve called De Schotsman. Here you will find numerous bird species, roe deer and Scottish Highlanders. In spring, the nature reserve turns blue and purple with orchids, a beautiful setting for a walk with the forest guide.

The Donkey House

A unique experience! Hike with donkeys in nature or on the beach. Children can take a rest on the back of the donkeys when they are tired. A picknick trip or a workshop is also possible. Do reserve in advance.

The pumpkin shop and picking garden

Near Geersdijk, you will find the pumpkin shop with a large assortment of edible, ornamental and bottle pumpkins. You can come here from August to December to admire the garden, join a guided tour or workshop and enter the shop. There is also a beautiful picking garden from July onwards.

Just 25 minutes by car from the holiday homes of Ruiterplaat Vakanties, you will find the cosiest shopping city of Zeeland! Goes is a medium-sized, well-organised city with something for everyone. In the city centre you will find the Grote Markt, surrounded by many pubs and restaurants with a cosy terrace. In the shopping streets you will find the famous large chain stores, but also local boutiques. Also for a snack and a drink you have come to the right place. Restaurants Hector, De Kluizenear and Kale & de Bril will surprise you with culinary delights.
