The most beautiful walks with your four-legged friend
Nothing beats a lovely walk together with your dog. Near your luxury holiday villa, you will find beautiful nature reserves and dog-friendly beaches. In some areas, your dog is even allowed to roam freely! We have listed the most beautiful walking areas for you.
Banjaard beach
Walk from your luxury villa to the vast Banjaardstrand for a long beach walk, with your feet in the sand and the wind in your hair. During the bathing season your dog should be on a leash between 10 am and 7 pm. From 1 October to 1 May, your dog may run free on the beach.
Beach Neeltje Jans
Your dog is also welcome here. During the bathing season it must be kept on a leash and outside the season, from 1 October to 1 May, your dog can run free. Take a walk along the Zeeland coast and who knows, you might even spot seals that like to sunbathe near the large windmill.
Veerse Meer
You can take lovely walks along the shores of the Veerse Meer or visit one of the adjoining nature reserves. In summer, the Veerse Meer is a vibrant setting, while in winter you can enjoy peace and quiet here. Please note that your dog must be on a leash all year round and visiting the grazing areas is not allowed.
Manteling van Walcheren
Walk through dune landscape, along the water and past Westhove Castle. During your walk, you are likely to encounter traces of the Second World War. This walk can easily be combined with a visit to Terra Maris, a museum where nature and culture come together. Your dog is welcome, provided it is on a leash.
Veerse Bos
Around the Veerse Kreek you will find the Veerse Bos. An ultimate walking area to clear your head and enjoy nature. During the walk, you will come across various picnic spots and off-leash areas where your dog can run freely.
